I recently signed my first book deal with Gestalten Publishing. The Chronicles of Cringe: An Illustrated History of Human Embarrassment is slated for release in Fall 2026.

Part coffee table book, part cultural analysis, the project catalogs some of history’s most outrageous, uncomfortable, and unforgettable moments. But it also goes deeper, examining the emotional architecture behind them. What makes something cringe-worthy? Where do humiliation, guilt, and shame diverge? And how have different cultures defined and responded to embarrassment over time?

Blending visual storytelling with cultural analysis, the book reframes “cringe” as both a historical constant and a lens through which to better understand ourselves.
